Product: Core Seal
Application:
Core Seal is suitable for sealing the pores in concrete, bitumen or brick paving to create a surface which prevents penetration of water, gas or air.  All grain authorities in Australia have approved the product for use on grain storage flooring.
Application Directions:
Core Seal penetrates directly into the surface coated, where its wet white film cures to a non visible satin finish.  For surfaces exposed to direct sunlight, a pigmented coating is recommended as a top coat over Core Seal.
Surface Preparation:
All surfaces must be cleaned with a high pressure water wash prior to application.
Application Method:
Core Seal can be applied using an airless spray, paint brush or broom.  A spreading rate of 6 sq metres per litre is recommended for normal concrete or bitumen.   The spreading rate will be dependent on the porosity of the substrate.  Excess material should not be left on the surface of the treated area.
Curing Time:
24 hours in a ventilated area.
Safety: Core Seal is a non toxic, non flammable product.  Sensible precautions should be observed:

  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Contact to the eyes or skin should be avoided, protective gear should be worn.
  • Avoid inhalation of mists by wearing a dust mask on application.

Product: Supa Seal
Application:
Supa Seal can be applied to grain silos, metal roofs and similar applications that require a protective coating.  It is also suitable for adequately etched aluminium surfaces.  Supa Seal has been evaluated by Curtin Consultancy Services, WA and  certified to be in conformance with Co-operative Bulk Handling specifications for grain silo sealing systems.
Recommended Film Builds:
As a sealing membrane for lap joins and gaps not exceeding 2mm in width 3000 microns wet film thickness (1500 microns dry film thickness).  As a heat reflective top coat 300 microns wet film thickness (150 microns dry film thickness).
Surface Preparation:
All surfaces must be clean, sound and free of all contaminants such as from oils and release agents.
Application Method:
Apply using an airless spray with a minimum of two coats.
A spreading rate of 1.7 sq metres per litre corresponds to 300 microns dry film thickness assuming no loss.  Practical spreading rates will vary due to such factors as method and conditions of application and surface roughness.  May be applied at up to 1500 microns wet film thickness without sagging or running.
Curing Time:
Internally coated silos should not receive product for a minimum of two weeks after the coating has been applied.  The silo must be ventilated to allow the membrane to cure.
Environmental Conditions:
Application, drying and curing of Supa Seal should take place within a set range of conditions for a successful result, Minimum - 1OC, Maximum - 45OC.  The usage outside these limits may result in some form of adhesion or coating failure.  Do not apply if during application or drying the surface temperature is likely to fall within 3OC of dew point.
Safety: Supa Seal is a non-toxic, non-flammable product. Sensible precautions should be observed:

  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Contact to the eyes or skin should be avoided, protective gear should be worn.
  • Avoid inhalation of mists by wearing a dust mask on application.
